
HOW IT STARTED?
I’m Damien Gray, founder of SNACK’d. I was raised vegetarian; my mum is a vegan and raw-food chef. The idea hit me in New Zealand, living in a van on a diving expedition. I needed the energy and fibre of oats, but porridge was a nightmare to clean—so overnight oats became my go-to. Back in the UK, working as a Buyer at Asda, I saw every trend and launch—yet too much was ultra-processed, filled with emulsifiers and preservatives. I started this company to make snacking better: more natural ingredients, less junk.
